Once you generate your video, you'll have access to the video overview page.

Once you generate a video at least once, you can access the video overview page by clicking on the video from your Workspace, My videos , or Shared with me.

Publishing your video

In order get a public link for sharing your video with, or to embed your video on another website with an embed code, or to export a SCORM package to upload to your LMS, you'l have to make it public first by publishing it.

To publish your video:

  1. Click the Publish button in the upper right corner of the video overview page.
  2. Click the Make public button.

🚧

If you unpublish a video, it won't be available for viewing from the video link or any embeds.

This means that neither the video link, nor any embeds using the embed code provided, nor videos embedded in your LMS via a SCORM package upload will be accessible by your viewers.

To make it viewable, publish your video again.

Here's what the video's share page will look like with both video duplication and the call-to-action button enabled:

SCORM

πŸ‘

When you add a Synthesia video to your LMS by uploading a SCORM package, the Synthesia video player will be embedded in your LMS.

Since the video will be added to your lesson as an embed, your learners will have access to all of the features included with Synthesia's video player, such as chapters and access to any translations you've published.

Plus, the file size will be under 100KB since the SCORM package adds an embed of your video hosted by Synthesia instead of including the .mp4 file.

To export a SCORM package:

  1. Select an export version:
    1. SCORM 1.2
    2. SCORM 2004
  2. Specify the percentage of the video that your learners need to watch in order to mark the video as completed for them in your LMS. Either drag the slider or edit the text in the text field to set the completion criteria.
  3. Click Export SCORM to download the .zip file.

Video Thumbnail

Hover over the thumbnail and click the Copy thumnail button. An animated GIF thumbnail will be copied to your clipboard.

When pasted in your emails, blog posts, articles, and elsewhere, the copied GIF will act as a clickable link to the video's Share page.

πŸ‘

Static and animated GIF thumbnails for your video can be downloaded via Synthesia's API.

Video Analytics

After you published a generated video, you'll be able to access the metrics report from the Overview page. The report will include insights for video views and watch time for the videos's share page and any video embeds you've added elsewhere.
