Shared with me

Any videos and folders that have been shared with you by another Synthesia user are visible in the Shared with me page. You can organize and manage content in this page—move it, share it, or clean it up as needed. You can do all of this for one item at a time, or select several folders and videos together and act on all of them at once with bulk actions.

Shared with me isn't a storage location of its own—everything here is a shortcut to a folder or video that's actually stored in someone else's workspace or My videos. Because of this, there's no New folder button here, unlike Workspace and My videos.

Content here is organized into two sections: Folders at the top, then Projects (videos) below. If you don't see a Folders section, it's simply because no one has shared a folder with you.

You're always the invitee here, not the owner—for both folders and videos. Which actions you can take depends on the permission level you were given: No access, Can comment, Can edit, or Full access.

Folders

Folders others have shared with you work the same way as folders in Workspace.

Edit videos

Hover over a video thumbnail and select Edit to open that video in the editor.

Video actions

Hover over a video thumbnail and select the three-dot menu for more options. These are the same actions available from Workspace, with one more difference to keep in mind: you can't translate a video that lives in someone else's My videos—only videos in a shared workspace folder support translation from here.

Removing a video from Shared with me deletes it for everyone, not just you. Once removed, it's available in Trash for 30 days.

Sort and display

Use the sort, order, and Grid/List display options in the upper right of the page, the same as in Workspace.
