## How the integration works

1. **Connect Synthesia to Workato**
   * [Create your Synthesia API key](https://docs.synthesia.io/reference/synthesia-api-quickstart#create-your-api-key) from the Synthesia dashboard.
   * Add the API key to the Synthesia Workato Connector.

2. **Create a Workato Recipe**
   * Define a trigger (for example, a new row in a Google Sheet).
   * Use the **Create Video** action in the Synthesia Connector.
   * Configure fields like script, avatar, background, title, and more.

3. **Run and Monitor**
   * Trigger the recipe to start video creation.
   * Use the **Retrieve Video** action to check video status and get the download link.

## Example Recipe

**Scenario**: Automatically send onboarding videos to new hires.

* **Trigger**: New employee record added to HR database.
* **Action**: Use Synthesia’s **Create Video** action to generate a custom welcome message.
* **Output**: The video is shared with the employee via email.

## Connector Capabilities

* **Create Video**: Generate new videos from dynamic inputs.
* **List Videos**: Fetch a list of videos in your Synthesia account.
* **Retrieve Video**: Get video status, metadata, and download link.

## Use cases

* HR onboarding videos
